Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara (MCASB) is a non-collecting contemporary art museum located in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara, on the Upper Arts Terrace of the Paseo Nuevo shopping center.
Serving Santa Barbara and the Central Coast with 3-5 exhibitions and 30+ educational programs each year, MCASB seeks to enrich lives and inspire creativity, empathy, and learning through meaningful engagement with the art and ideas of our time. Our mission is to provide Santa Barbara and the Central Coast with exhibitions and programming that encourage discovery and challenge the way we see and experience the world, ourselves, and each other. MCASB is proud to work with artists of diverse media, ethnicity, geography, and gender, and serve as a safe and welcoming space for the community to explore contemporary art. Admission to MCASB is free and open to all.
